To Create MSCATALOG

MSCATALOG is the master table that tells MicroStation information about the database tables available for links to graphic elements. It is opened every time you connect to a database and contains a row for each table that may be linked to the design. There is only one MSCATALOG table for each database. To create an MSCATALOG table use the Map Database Linkages Ribbon Workflow and go to Database/Setup.

  1. If the MSCATALOG table does not exist in the current database, an Information dialog will display asking if you would like to create one:

If you select OK, the MSCATALOG dialog box will display:

  2. Enter the Table(s) name and Entity Number(s) in the Table section.
  3. The Attribute Review fields define how you review and report database attributes.
  4. The Fence Filter section sets the SQL statement and determines which elements are selected for Fence operations.
  5. The Displayable Attribute (DAS Table) entry is the table name of the displayable attributes table.

See the MicroStation Database Help content for complete details.
